Join Deacon Tom every Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at St. Anthony as we explore “The Mass,” a video series by Bishop Robert Barron. Each 25-minute video helps us discover how to fully, actively, and consciously participate in the Mass. This week (March 29), we’ll discuss “Part Four: Responding to God.” We’ll gather each week from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the church. Join us whenever you can!

Our youth (middle school and high school) will gather at 7 p.m. Sunday (March 27) for some fun games (hopefully outside!) and a little learning, including the possibility of the bowling we’ve been hoping to do!
Our middle school youth will travel to Iowa City next Sunday for the Iowa Catholic Youth Conference. Please keep them and their leaders in your prayers. High school youth will not gather on April 3.

“Palm Sunday Alms for Helping Hands!” St. A’s Youth Ministry is sponsoring a Lenten food drive to support our neighbors in need. Please bring canned food items, especially high-protein items such as hearty soups, ravioli, meat, peanut butter and fish, to church on the weekend of April 9-10. Our collection will be given to Helping Hands

Deacon Dale Mallory is being ordained to the priesthood on June 4, 2022 at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Davenport.
St. Anthony’s is looking into the possibility of renting a bus or multiple 12 passenger vans for those interested in attending. Please sign up before April 10 in the church entryway if you would like to join us!

Stations of the Cross will be prayed each Friday during Lent at 5 p.m. at St. Anthony. Everyone is welcome!

If you can imagine having a good time while learning about the Anointing of the Sick, we somehow managed last Sunday!
Learners of all ages, including a three-generation family – explored this misunderstood sacrament with the help of bowling balls, bananas, Band-Aids, mittens and other surprises.
Our next faith formation gathering is at 9 a.m. April 10 (Palm Sunday), when we’ll discover the sacrament of Marriage in a gathering called “Celebrating Feasts of Love!”

The Davenport Diocese will hold their Chrism Mass Monday, April 11 at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Davenport from 2-3:30 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend.

Daily Mass is held at 8:30 a.m. every Tuesday and Thursday at St. Anthony. Sunday Mass is at 10:30 a.m. and Saturday Vigil Mass is at 6 p.m.

SATURDAY MASS TIME CHANGE:
Beginning April 2nd, Saturday Mass time
will change to 6 p.m. for Sacred Heart and
4 p.m. for St. Anthony.
