Meet with IOWA CATHOLIC RADIO at St. Anthony’s in Knoxville on Thursday, October 12 at 2 PM.
On Thursday, September 7th, 2023, Iowa Catholic Radio completed the purchase of 34,000 watt KEDB 105.3 FM, licensed to Chariton, from Honey Creek Broadcasting, LLC. Following the completion of the purchase, Iowa Catholic Radio changed the station call letters to KIHC and began broadcasting Iowa Catholic Radio content immediately.
The acquisition of this 600 ft. tower just north of Rathbun Lake provides new FM coverage to eastern portions of the Diocese of Des Moines as well as the western portion of the Diocese of Davenport. Some of the larger communities that will begin receiving the new broadcast signal include: Chariton, Osceola, Indianola, Knoxville, Ottumwa, Pella, Centerville, and Unionville, MO.
Iowa Catholic Radio’s mission is to Connect Souls to Christ, with the goal of expanding from central Iowa to include the state in its entirety. In addition to providing local programming as well as nationally syndicated broadcasts, areas south of the Des Moines Metro will receive coverage of their own local weather and events.
