St. Anthony’s is collecting school supplies to be shared at Helping Hands’ School Supply Sharing event. Please bring donations to the church gathering space by Sunday, August 10th.
The following items are consistently needed among the many school districts in our area:
- #2 Pencils (12-packs)
- Pens
- Colored pencils
- Crayons (8 – or 24-packs)
- Washable markers (8-packs)
- Sharpie markers
- Glue sticks
- Pencil bags (clear)
- Pencil boxes
- Erasers
- Scissors
- Pocket Folders
- Spiral notebooks (wide-ruled)
- Loose-leaf paper (wide ruled)
- 1” 3-ring binders
- Dry-Erase Markers (4-pack or 8-pack)
- Kleenex (any brand of facial tissue)
- Hand sanitizer
- Sanitizing wipes
- Backpacks (no wheels)
- Headphones/earbuds
- Ziploc bags (quart or gallon)
- Sandwich bags
Please consider buying clothes and/or tennis shoes on Aug. 1-2 during Iowa’s sales-tax holiday to help kids look great as they go back to school.
We also welcome gift cards to Target, WalMart and other retailers.
These will be delivered to district to support teachers with their classroom needs.
We ask that only new, unused items be donated. Thanks for any support you can provide for local students.
