A large family in our parish needs help, and quickly! They are fairly new to the community, here from Micronesia in the Pacific Ocean.
They are not immigrants, but are allowed to live and work in the U.S. legally and indefinitely. They are good, hard-working people who attend church regularly but they were not aware of local rental occupancy rules.
Family members continued to come to the U.S. and crowd into the same rental space. They now face eviction by Tuesday, Aug. 12. We need housing for at least 8 people and as many as 19. A large house would be ideal, as the family would like to stick together as they continue to adapt to the U.S. and become established, but any options are welcomed.
